IoA Traveling Workshop Embodied Togetherness

The first IoA Traveling Workshop, titled “Embodied Togetherness“ took place on the Baltic seaside in Lithuania, September 10-18, 2017.

This workshop, organised as the collaboration between the Institute of Architecture (IoA), University of Applied Arts Vienna and Vilnius Art Academy, and powered by the Nida Art Colony, was led by the teachers and alumnus of the IoA, - Josip Bajcer, Anna Gulinska and Indrė Umbrasaitė.

Based on the creative cognitive and physical spatial exploration methods, workshop participants monitored their individual - personal and social behaviour in the natural environment and with it. Three student groups studied context and spatial character of their chosen locations of the landscape of Curonian Spit in order to decipher, formulate and visualise their authentic relationships by offering new spatial design structures that enable communication with and within the locality and location.

Workshop participants were architecture, urbanism, interior design and product design students from the Vilnius Academy of Arts and the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. IoA.TravelingWorkshops
